Location: Prestonsburg is a small home rule-class city in and the county seat of Floyd County, Kentucky, United States. It is in the eastern part of the state in the valley of the Big Sandy River. Called "The Star City of Eastern Kentucky," Prestonsburg, Kentucky, in Floyd County, is situated along a stretch of U.S. 23 known as the Country Music Highway. Many of the musicians honored with markers on the highway can often be seen performing at the town's Mountain Arts Center. Those looking for a musical variety show will love the MAC's Kentucky Opry, which has been called a "fresh, 'down home' approach to family entertainment." Lake-lovers can boat, swim and fish at Jenny Wiley State Park's Dewey Lake and then take in a theatrical performance or concert at the Jenny Wiley Amphitheatre.
