7:30a-5:30p, 8 hour days with some night call

Dates of Coverage – Feb 16-24 & Mar 23-Apr 2
Schedule: 7:30AM-5:30PM with night call then 24 hour call coverage Fri-Sun
Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the oncology/Hematology clinic and infusion services. Infusion center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis Injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
Required Procedures: N/A - Bone Marrow biopsies are referred to outside provider.
Support Staff: 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2-Front office clerks, 1 quality analyst /billing, and 3 infusion RNs. Currently have a long-term NP who works the M-F 8-5 NP covers any infusions on Fridays and the occasional Friday appointment.
Reason for coverage: Locum coming up on 1 year.
Average daily census: 15-21 patients M-Th shared between the MD and NP with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.
Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day.
FTE: 1.0 FTE

EMR System: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (infusion)
