Job Description
A prestigious medical school on the Gulf Coast is seeking a medical oncologist/hematologist with clinical and research focus as a generalist. Must be board certified or board eligible in medical oncology and have an interest in being a generalist. The physician will be on the faculty of the University at the level matching their background experience. The duties include:
1. Clinics in medical oncology with subspecialty emphasis in all cancer four
days/week. Will be expected to meet productivity and quality metrics.
2. Be committed to providing multi-disciplinary approach to provision of
patient care.
3. Call is 1:8 days and weekends.
4. Teaching fellows, residents, medical students as part of the
hematology/oncology faculty to include grand rounds and continuity clinics.
- Attending and participating in tumor boards specific to generalist
oncology patients. Also, to attend/participate tumor boards for other
specialties.
