Specialty: Medical Oncology/Hematology Physician
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3-6 months w/ opportunity to extend.
Shift Details: Days
Schedule:
o which days of the week? 5x8
o number of weeks out of month? 4
Work Details
o Patients per day: 10-18
o EMR: Epic, Beacon chemo system
How does the facility manage acute leukemia and lymphoma? Do the patients get shipped out or do they get care there?
Sent to main hospital (25 minutes away)
Does the hospitalist do the admits for the cancer patients and round on them?
Yes
Rounding weeks: Ip rounding from approx. 8:00-4:30. Every other week IP will be busier, as we are only on for unassigned/new consults every other week. On the busy weeks, there would be no clinic. On the less busy IP weeks, there could be 2-4 hrs of clinic per day, depending on IP census/volumes.
Non-Rounding weeks: Clinic schedule is approx. 8-4:30
Practice Setting:
o Academic/Training – Board Certified
o Clinic and Inpatient Oncology job. (50/50 split)
o Call coverage 1:5, unless locum wants more
o Team includes: 18 oncologists, 12 advanced practice providers, 4 radiation oncologists, 2 thoracic surgeons and 6 surgical oncologists.

o Airport name: Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport
