UPMC Kane is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Gynecologist to join our team as the sole GYN physician at our facility. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to our patients in a rural community, offering a full spectrum of gynecological services. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of women in our community.

Kane is nestled in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest with proximity to Twin Lakes and the Allegheny Reservoir. As the sole GYN specialist at UPMC Kane, you will have the autonomy to build and shape the service line, supported by a team of experienced healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive gynecological care, including preventive services, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of women's health issues.
  • Perform routine exams, including pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and other necessary screenings.
  • Diagnose and manage gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, menopause, infections, and other reproductive health concerns.
  • Perform gynecological surgeries as needed, including minimally invasive procedures.
  • Perform in-office procedures.
  • Provide patient education on topics such as contraception, sexual health, menopause management, and reproductive health.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with UPMC Kane's standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote women's health.
  • ·Ensure adherence to best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and ethical standards in all aspects of care.

Opportunity Details:

  • Qualifications: Must have an MD or equivalent; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gynecology.
  • Team: Join a Certified Nurse Midwife focusing on women’s health, with the opportunity to build practice
  • Call Requirement: No call requirement
  • Licensure: Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA medical license.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in the field of GYN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as the sole ENT provider.
