Medical Oncology, Physician

About this role:

As a Medical Oncology, Physician in Oncology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will provide care to our oncology/hematology patients, do consultations, diagnose diseases and implement a course of treatment. Take call; manage a patient base of adults (primarily over 65 years and older), 16- 18 patients a day. This position is supported by 2 medical assistants, 3 nurses and 3 support staff. Work with established and experienced physicians. Those with strong experience in community oncology with a clinic emphasis are encouraged to apply. Moving forward, this position will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research.

  • This position includes up to $25,000.00 sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
  • You will practice at Tenaya Clinic, 2851 N. Tenaya Way Ste 101 Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm / patient facing contact hours per week / basic clinic schedule
  • A reasonable call schedule. Inpatient call schedule rotates daily; round on your own patients and after hours call rotation is 1-8 when fully staffed.
  • Intermountain Healthcare Oncology/Hematology provides patients with a range of cancer care therapies including medical oncology, clinical hematology, cancer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy with the most advanced IGRT technology, and HDR brachytherapy.

What you’ll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Residency training in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Oncology
  • Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
