**Section Chief, Medical Genetics Program - Grand Rapids, MI** **Position Details** - Leadership opportunity in a growing Medical Genetics Program at a renowned children's hospital - Responsible for pediatric and adult patients with complex genetic disorders and inherited conditions - Multi-disciplinary team includes physicians, APPs, dietitians, genetic counselors, nurses, and support staff - Dedicated to enhancing patient care through quality, safety, innovation, and collaboration - Provide direction to the Medical Genetics Program, ensuring high standards in care, education, and innovation - Drive expansion and awareness of genetic services for diverse patient needs - Champion quality-driven, patient-focused care for acute inpatient and outpatient populations - Academic and Faculty Affairs: Support research, clinical services, and advocacy aligned with the hospitals mission - The programs multidisciplinary team includes 7 specialized physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, 21 genetic counselors, and other supportive staff, working in a collaborative, physician-led environment. **Facility Details** The dedicated children's hospital features a state-of-the-art 234-bed facility, with an annual volume of over 8,760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits.
