**Clinical and/or Biochemical Geneticist Opportunity in San Antonio** **Position Summary:** Childrens Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical and/or Biochemical Geneticist to join its dedicated genetics team. This position includes an academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will work alongside three clinical geneticists, a biochemical geneticist, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and six genetic counselors. **Job Duties:** - **Clinical Responsibilities:** Conduct outpatient genetics clinics, participate in specialty clinics, provide inpatient consultations, and handle call coverage. - **Educational Responsibilities:** Contribute to the education of learners, including residents, fellows, and students. - **Team Support:** Work in collaboration with genetics clinic staff, genetic counselors, metabolic dietitians, metabolic nurses, and social workers. - **Research Support:** Access to resources at the Clinical Research Center for those involved in research. **Minimum Qualifications:** - **Education:** MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree - **Certification:** Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics - **Licensure:** Must possess or obtain a Texas medical license - **Skills:** Strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in patient care This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both clinical care and education within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
