Pediatric Geneticist – Driscoll Children's Hospital

The Driscoll Health System is seeking to hire a full-time BE/BC Pediatric Geneticist to join a robust practice engaged in providing the highest standard of care for its patients.

Job duties will include an outpatient genetics clinic, the opportunity to participate in and create collaborative multidisciplinary clinics, inpatient consultation, call coverage, and participation in learner education. The position is supported by genetics clinic staff, Genetic nurses, and social workers. Full-time time is desired but part-time will be considered.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Genetics.
  • Active TX License or ability to obtain one.

Driscoll Children's Hospital - Corpus Christi

Driscoll Children’s Hospital is a 191-bed pediatric tertiary care center with more than 30 medical and surgical specialties offering care throughout South Texas, including Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Victoria, and Laredo. Through the vision and generosity of its founder, Clara Driscoll, Driscoll Children’s Hospital opened in 1953, becoming the first, and remains the only, free-standing children’s hospital in South Texas. In 2019, Driscoll had over 141,000 patient visits, including over 46,000 patients seen at South Texas’ first emergency room created exclusively for children.

Driscoll Children's Hospital – Rio Grande Valley

The new eight-level hospital will be located on the campus of Doctors Hospital Renaissance Health, making it the only designated, freestanding, children’s hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. Through the vision and generosity of its founder, Clara Driscoll, Driscoll Children’s Hospital opened in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1953. The new location with further the mission to provide medical care to all the children of South Texas by providing the following pediatric services: pediatric specialists, acute inpatient and outpatient surgery, emergency services, Level III NICU, PICU, rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, imaging, laboratory, and child life program.
