HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to provide consistent 7-day-per-month locum coverage for a South Carolina client. This is an outstanding opportunity for GI physicians who want predictable monthly scheduling, a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, and a collaborative support team.
This assignment is ideal for those who are licensed in South Carolina and can maintain a DEA registered to the state. Start date is based on credentialing (30–45 days) and requires one half-day, in-person orientation visit prior to your first shift.
Job Responsibilities
o Clinic Volume: ~3 patients/hour
o Clinic Support: 1 PA, LPN or MA (based on staffing)
• Inpatient Support: NP available M–F, 7 AM–1 PM to manage initial consults
• Endo Lab Staff: RN, CRNA, and Tech support
Qualifications
• MD or DO with active South Carolina medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• South Carolina CSR and DEA (must maintain DEA registered to SC)
• Must be available for half-day onboarding visit prior to first shift (Mon–Fri only)
Working Hours
• Assignment: 7 consecutive days/month (Friday 7 AM to following Friday 7 AM)
