Gastroenterology Locums Job in Utah | June-September Dates | 24 Hour Call

Schedule for Assignment #108073:
--June 3 (7a) - 6 (7a) OR June 9 (7a) - 12 (7a)
--July 11 (7a) - 13 (7a) OR July 20 (7a) - 22 (7a)
--September 1 (7a) - 6 (7a) OR September 8 (7a) - 13 (7a)
--Any 7 day stretch in October
--Ongoing dates will begin January 2026

Job Details/Requirements:
--Board Certified Gastroenterology
--Active Utah license – highly preferred
--Active BLS - required for credentialing
--Gastroenterology Fellowship - required
--Active DEA - required for credentialing (will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
--Clean Malpractice - highly preferred
--Clean Background – required
--Summary: Looking for a gastroenterologist to help provide 24 hour call coverage to both site concurrently. The team will need a total between all locums of 7 shifts per month.
--Setting: Outpatient, Call, Inpatient
--Trauma Level III
--Duties: EGD
--EMR: EPIC
--Support Staff: MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech
--Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage.
--Average call back hours: 7.5 hours
--Is there anesthesia support? Yes - in the OR.
--Procedures performed on a call shift: 4-5 procedures
--Required procedures: Mostly EGD (upper endoscopy) and then sends over flow call needs (colonoscopies mostly) to next day in clinic procedure schedule.
--EGD and Colonoscopy procedures - 30 minutes
--PEG Tube Placements - 1 hour
--Double Balloon Enteroscopy/Push Enteroscopy - 2 hours
--These are all templated/on the provider schedule in EPIC.
