Requirements

• Board Certified
• Fellowship - Preferred
• Active PA License
• ACLS, BLS
• Required Skills: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), injection of varices, PEG), Esophageal dilatation/manometry, Esophageal manometry interpretation, Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy (flexible, rigid), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp)
• Preferred Skills: ERCP (Diagnostic, Therapeutic), Liver biopsy, Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube

• Beeper
• Call response time required: During Business Hours, 1 Hour Urgent
• Call Ratio: 100
• Call Back: 100%
• Patients Seen: 11-13 inpatients
• Admissions: 1-4
• Phone consults: Occur afterhours; otherwise on site
