SCHEDULE :
- Position A 0730-400pm most days; Position B - 24 hour call with procedures done as needed in that time frame (majority are during normal business hours)
Coverage Need Details :
- ***Must have a active Ohio license, will not accept a IMLC***
- Seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide both outpatient procedural coverage and on-call services.
- The role is split into two key responsibilities:
- outpatient procedures and on-call coverage for emergency department (ED) and inpatient (IP) needs.
- This position would be filled by one provider who is able to commit to three weeks per month.
- Position A - OP coverage for 2 weeks/month (M-F) to do outpatient procedures for the day. The patients will be seen by an APP in the office and placed on procedural schedule to be done in the hospital endoscopy space.
- Position B - 1 week/month of call (7 consecutive days). This is 24 hour call to cover any ED or IP needs that arise. The patients that need procedures performed will be done by this provider.
- Estimated shifts per month - Position A - 10 days; Position B - 7 days of call
- Will the provider work solo - there are partners in the practice that he/she can collaborate with however will be expected to take call and perform procedures on their own
- Call-1 week (7 consecutive days) per month will be call. It is not in house call; 30 min response time to the call and 60 minutes on site if necessary. not a large call volume
- They will need to be able to perform screening and diagnostic colonoscopy, EGD, care for food bolus etc. We do not do ERCP or EUS at this site.
