We are seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage in Middlebury, VT. This position involves providing procedural endoscopy coverage one week each month within our Surgical Services Department. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with procedural hours from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, followed by consultative and administrative duties until 5:00 pm.

The physician will be responsible for performing around 10 endoscopic procedures daily, focusing on colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Additional duties include providing GI consults as needed, with preferred procedures such as esophageal dilation and management of esophageal foreign bodies. The anticipated workload is approximately 50-60 endoscopies per week.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Valid ACLS certification
• BLS certification
