Position Type: Locum Tenens
Position Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Locum Gastroenterology Physician to provide inpatient care. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team while enjoying competitive compensation and a flexible schedule.
Job Details:
- Start Date: March 2025 (or as soon as credentialed)
- Duration: Ongoing
- Shift Type: 24-hour pager call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) with call back
- Setting: Hospital-based inpatient coverage
- Procedures:
- ERCP: Required
- EUS: Highly preferred, but not mandatory
- 3–4 outpatient procedures daily, plus inpatient procedures and consults
- Patient Population: Adults only
- EMR System: Cerner
- Pay: $3500 daily. $425/hour call back rate
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)
- State License: Active Iowa license (IMLC not accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS required
- Experience:
- Must be willing and able to work inpatient
- ERCP required
- EUS highly preferred
- Malpractice/Background: Clean record required for quick privileges
