Locum to Permanent Position: MD/DO - Gastroenterologist
Location: Des Moines, IA
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including GERD, IBS, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and liver disorders.
Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), and ERCPs (if applicable).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with both acute and chronic GI conditions.
Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring continuity of care.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and surgeons, to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients about preventive measures, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications to manage GI health.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to all medical and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Board-certified/board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
Valid medical license to practice in Iowa (or the ability to obtain one).
Expertise in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills.
