Locums – Colorado Springs, Colorado, GI Hospitalist Opening (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role:

  • Coverage Dates Needed:
  • Feb 14 (7a) - 21 (7a)
  • Mar 14 (7a) - 21 (7a)
  • Shifts are 24-hour call - Friday (7a) - Friday (7a) every other week
  • Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level II
  • Patient Census: 15-25. Some days will be under 10, some days over 30
  • FTE: 1.0
  • Required Procedures/Job Duties: ERCP & General GI butter cases
  • EMR: EPIC
  • There is anesthesia support, no need for conscious sedation
  • Hospitalist admits patients
  • Avg.# daily procedures on in patients: 5-8
  • 1-2 ERCPs per day (of the 5-8 procedures above)
  • Candidate must be able to perform ERCP - Required
  • Reason for Coverage: No GI Service
  • EMR Required Training:
  • Module (learn lessons) – Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
  • EMR Virtual training – Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed prior to the providers’ first day
  • Board Certified Gastroenterology - Required or Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years of fellowship completion with BC in IM)
  • Active CO License - Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
  • Active CO DEA - Required
  • Clean Malpractice/background - Highly Preferred
