Locums Gastroenterologist - Johnstown, PA Coverage Need

  • Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
  • Monday-Friday: GI Lab (8 AM - 4 PM)
  • Call: Beeper, 5 PM - 5 PM
  • Weekend Rounds: 4 hours onsite, assigned weekends
Position Details Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient Procedures Required: - Upper GI Endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, variceal injection) - Lower GI Endoscopy (Colonoscopy with biopsy/polypectomy, Sigmoidoscopy) - Esophageal dilatation/manometry - Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) - Small bowel biopsy Additional Procedures (Preferred): - ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) - Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) - Liver biopsy Patients Per Day: Approx. 10-14 inpatients during weekdays; 5-10 inpatient consults/day during call Call Response Time: 30 minutes EMR System: Epic Submissions Requirements Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Board Certified or Eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Gastroenterology Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology BLS certification required Clean history: Yes Skill Requirements Proficiency in all general GI procedures ERCP and EUS experience preferred Ability to manage consults, rounds, emergencies, and standard GI procedures Additional Information Facility Trauma Level: 1 Temporary privileges available Nearest Airports: Pittsburgh, Latrobe Lodging: Provided by the hospital
