Position Details Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call Admissions Required: Yes Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 30 minutes Call Ratio: 100% Patients Per Shift: 10+ per day Admissions: ~3 per shift Facility Beds: 86 Support Staff: RNs, MAs Nearest Airport: Asheville, NC (AVL) Lodging: Holiday Inn Express and Best Western, Dillsboro, NC Submissions Requirements Active North Carolina state license BC/BE Clean history BLS Skill Requirements Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, injection of varices) ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) Colonoscopy (biopsy, excision of polyps) Esophageal dilatation/manometry and manometry interpretation Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy, including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Liver biopsy Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
