Locum Tenens - Gastroenterologist - State College, PA Assignment Details: Coverage Dates: January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025 Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Holidays Included: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day Practice Setting: Outpatient & Inpatient Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call 10 patients per shift Two consecutive weeks per month (covering for when the part-time doctor is off) The two weeks consists of hospital and after hours office call, inpatient consults and procedures, and clinic time. Outpatient endo procedures = ~ 15/day. Requirements: Board Certification: Yes Certifications: BLS Clean History Required Additional Information: Privileges Required: No hospital/surgery center privileges required Admissions Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Facility is Stroke Certified Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-120 days EMR System: Cerner Facility Accepts Multiple Providers: Yes Specialty Skills Required: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) Upper GI endoscopy with injection of varices ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), both diagnostic and therapeutic PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Esophageal manometry interpretation Small Bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy, both flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Liver biopsy Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Description/Other Details: The procedures performed are EGDs and Colonoscopies, ERCPs and EUSs are the stretch Anesthesia is present
