We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a Locum Tenens assignment to provide call-only coverage at our Texas-based facility. This is a temporary role to cover provider vacation, offering a great opportunity to work in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Job Responsibilities

Flexible short-term opportunity with a defined schedule.
Work at a certified and reputable facility.
Collaborate with experienced staff and APPs.
Temporary hospital privileges available for quick onboarding.
Patient Care: Direct admissions and supervision of advanced practice providers (PAs/NPs)
Admissions Required: Yes.

Qualifications

Board Certification: Required (Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology).
Fellowship: Required.
Licensure: Active Texas license.
Certifications:
ACLS: Required.
BLS, PALS, ATLS, ABLS: Not required.
Supervision: Must supervise advanced practice providers.

Working Hours

Schedule: On-call only (beeper call).
Practice Setting: Inpatient only.
Call Response Time: Within 30 minutes.

Skills

Trauma Level: Level III.
Pediatric Level: Level III.
EMR Systems: Athena and Medhost.
Hospital Stroke Certified: Yes.
