We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gastroenterologist to provide 24-hour hospital call coverage for a reputable healthcare system in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible, with experience in ERCP (preferred) and availability to provide at least 7 days of coverage per month.

Job Responsibilities

Provide hospital call coverage, including consults, procedures, and rounding for patients admitted on the floors and in the emergency department.
Handle 5-10 admissions daily while on call, including inpatient services and consults.
Perform required procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP (preferred).
Work closely with midlevel APP support for rounding and follow-ups.
Anticipate approximately 1-2 hours of rounding each day while on call.
24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM.
Full privileges available upon credentialing.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ERCP preferred).
Valid Pennsylvania state license required (or IMLC eligible).
Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
DEA certification required.
ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
Ability to commit to a minimum of 7 days per month.
Excellent communication and patient management skills.

Working Hours

Full-time position with 24-hour call coverage.
Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, including weekends.
Estimated 30 shifts per month.
