Gastroenterologist Locums Job in Northern Virginia | March 2025 - September 2025
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a northern Virginia facility that needs GI locum tenens coverage for one to two weeks per month starting in March 2025 through September 2025. This assignment is primarily 24-hour inpatient GI hospitalist coverage but may also evolve to requiring some outpatient clinic and scope coverage.
Dates of Coverage:
* Seeking 1-2 full weeks (Monday at 7A - Monday at 7A) per month beginning in March 2025 & for a minimum of 6 months
* Will be covering GI inpatient services, working a minimum of 8 hours in the hospital while covering 24-hour call coverage
* Depending on facility needs/coverage, they may also request some clinic coverage / scheduled outpatient scopes
Details for Assignment #105996:
-- Active and unrestricted Virginia license and DEA required
-- Active Board Certification required
-- Inpatient 24-hour call coverage with a minimum of 8 hours of work in the hospital per day
-- Possibility for clinic/outpatient scope coverage from time to time
-- ERCP / EUS is not required, however, there's a possibility they can use these services if you do them
-- Caseload: average 10-15 patients/day, 0-2 procedures/day
-- Case volume for scheduled scopes: between 10-12 / day
-- Two Endo suites, lab onsite, x-ray onsite
-- 150+ bed facility, Epic EMR
