  • Shift: 7 Day
  • On-Call Requirements: 24 Hr.
  • Practice Setting: Acute care community hospital ED and inpatient consults
  • Reason for Coverage: provider on medical
  • Call Ratio: all
  • Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro
  • Onsite Lab and Onsite X-Ray
  • Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine will not be required
  • Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: n/a
  • Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 5-10
  • How Many Physicians in Your Group: solo
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-10
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
  • Trauma Level/Designation: not trauma
  • Required Procedures:
    • Lower GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
  • Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy:
    • with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), with Biopsy, Therapeutic, Diagnostic, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
  • Board Certified - Required
  • Active VA license - Required
  • BLS and ACLS - Required
