Gastroenterology-PRN Locums Tenens opening in IN Located in Columbus, IN located within an hours drive from Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, and Cincinnati, OH. PRN position, Locums Tenens The Regional Hospital, with over 30 years of service to the Columbus, IN community, is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterology Locum Tenens Physician. Job Highlights: This position involves performing routine gastrointestinal procedures and scopes full days each weekday (14-16 scopes/day) at our state-of-the-art Endoscopy Center, supported by anesthesia. Key Responsibilities: Perform gastrointestinal scopes in the Endoscopy Center. Cover inpatient/ED overnight calls (6 PM - 7 AM) every night during shifts; daytime calls are managed by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). No outpatient or clinic coverage required. Proposed Start Date: September 30, 2024 Duration of Contract: Initially 3 months at 1 week/month (ideally the 3rd week of the month) Possibility to Extend: Additional 3 months at 2 weeks/month Hospital Size: 225-bed not-for-profit hospital and regional referral center Practice Overview: 2 Full-Time physicians and 3 PRN physicians. 3 Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and 1 Physician Assistant (PA-C). 3 Endoscopy suites for routine GI procedures. EUS and ERCP procedures available but not required. EMR system: EPIC. Endoscopy Center Details: 4 procedure rooms (1 Pulmonary and 3 GI). 15 pre/post procedure rooms.
