Gastroenterology opening in NY Located in Oswego, New York Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join high volume practice. The Center is comprised of experienced gastroenterologists and a robust practice management and support team. The practice is highly integrated and actively engaged in education and teaching within the local and regional academic medical community. - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p (outpatient); currently 1-physician in office and 1-physician in Endo suite (3- rooms); with 3rd provider we anticipate an increase in time spent in Endo suite - Well established practice that has been serving the community for 35+ years; high volume practice, physicians see approximately 20 ppd with support; approximately 10-15 scopes per day and available for inpatient - Practice Staffing Model: Increased census; currently 2 MDs and would like to increase to 3 MDs; 2.5 APPs - Types of Procedures/Cases: Bread and butter GI (screenings, GI bleeds, recall on polyps, etc.); ERCP is a plus; no capability for EUS - EMR: Meditech - Call Required: 7-days of ED call per month are required in base contract (includes 5 week days and 2 weekend days); additional weekend coverage (2 weekends a month) are provided by local private physicians (Friday 7a through Monday 7a); additional week day coverage is currently split between the 2-employed providers and paid at $1,000/night (ED call mirrors the schedule in Endo); we anticipate the already low call volume will be lessened with an additional physician joining the practice (typically call is resolved with a phone call and prepped for the next day) Compensation: - Base: $725,000 guaranteed base salary (potentially more with experience) + production bonuses based on RVU model; RVU threshold: 10,000 and RVU dollar amount: $72.00 - Relocation: Up to $10,000 possible - Sign-on Bonus: $50,000 (paid half within 30 days of starting and second half on anniversary) - Student Loan Repayment: Up to $10,000 annually (State and HPSA program offerings) - Competitive paid time off and CME time off (15 days paid time off + 6 paid holidays +7 days of sick leave = 28 paid days off) - Comprehensive Benefits Package: health, dental, vision, 403B, life and disability (Blue Cross, Blue Shield available for provider and family and effective on day 1) - Annual CME, dues and licensure reimbursement (up to $3,500 and 5 days for CME provided, with $2,000 for dues & licenses) - Malpractice Location: Located in New York States Central region, Oswego offers small city living with close proximity to many large metropolitan areas.
