Overview

Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is seeking a skilled and compassionate BE/BC General Gastroenterologist Physician to join its congenial team-oriented division. We have opportunities available in both Carmichael and Sacramento, CA. Clinic hours will be focused on general gastroenterology procedures which will include regular screenings, and diagnosing and treating patients with disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, and colon.

Clinic/Hospital call will be shared amongst a larger group (approx. 1:5). Mercy Medical Group has a large built-in referral system, and hospitalists are available 24/7. Call pay is in addition to the two-year guarantee.

Compensation Range: $495,000 - $524,160 / Year

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies, to identify and diagnose gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, or surgical intervention.
  • Monitor and manage patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists, to provide multidisciplinary care for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal diseases, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology research, treatments, and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.

Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Fellowship training in Gastroenterology from an accredited program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of California.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay Range
$238.00 - $252.00 /hour
