  • Coverage Needed:
    • Jan 2025 – Ongoing
    • Full Time Need: Mon @ 7:00 am – Mon @ 7:00 am
  • 24 hour shifts:
    • 12 hour in house coverage (2 sites)
      • 12 hour off site night call
  • Typical day:
    • Scopes in the morning, generally start them at 8:00am, but call does start at 7am.
      • Then back to the hotel on evening pager
      • 2 facilities - ~6 miles apart
    • Then rounding(patient care) and see any consults that are called in.
    • Then to 2nd facility for the same thing. 2nd facility generally doesn’t have as many scopes, and not as many patients to round on.
  • Clinical Information:
  • Support Staff: only Mon – Fri, not on weekends
    • Hospital Support: PAs, RNs
      • Practice Support: CMAs and PA
  • Typical day:
    • Scopes in the morning, generally start them at 8:00am, but call does start at 7am.
      • Then back to the hotel on evening pager
      • 2 facilities - ~6 miles apart
      • Patient ages: Adult
      • Standard services from GI physician expected
      • ERCP Required – No exceptions
      • Daily patient volume: 27
      • EMR: Meditech & PK
      • eCW - Patient Keeper
      • Gastro system: Provation
    • Then rounding(patient care) and see any consults that are called in.
    • Then to 2nd facility for the same thing. 2nd facility generally doesn’t have as many scopes, and not as many patients to round on.
  • Required:
    • Board Certified
  • Active South Carolina Licensing:
    • Medical License
    • Controlled Substance License
  • DEA
    • DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
    • Current Flu Vaccine
    • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
    • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
