Position Details:

• Role Type: Full-Time, 24-hour Call Coverage Only (7 a.m. - 7 a.m.)
• Schedule: Minimum of 7 days per month; full-time availability preferred, including weekends
  
• Estimated Monthly Shifts: 30 days
• On-Site Requirements: Hospital call coverage, consults, and procedures with daily rounding (1-2 hours)
• Support Staff: Dedicated APP (inpatient services, consults, rounding, follow-ups) and an anesthesiologist available for sedation
• EMR System: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years (ERCP experience preferred)
• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• DEA: Required

Job Responsibilities:

• Call Coverage: 24-hour call with a 30-minute response time
• Patient Admissions: 5-10 admissions daily
• Daily Encounters: Roughly 15 patient encounters per shift between APP and physician
• Typical Procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, PEGs, and ERCP (preferred)
• Patient Demographic: 100% adult
