Full-time, permanent position
Position Highlights:
Established Practice: Join a well-respected gastroenterology team of 3 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver and digestive tract diseases.
Advanced Facilities: Provide coverage exclusively at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital and the Surgery Center, which includes plans for a new large endoscopy suite.
Comprehensive Care: Engage in a full-time position that includes inpatient care, outpatient clinic responsibilities, and procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD (upper endoscopy), ERCP, and more.
Shared Call: Participate in a manageable call rotation of 1:4 on a quarterly basis.
Responsibilities:
Care for patients with various gastrointestinal conditions, performing a combination of outpatient, inpatient, and procedural work.
Maintain high standards of patient care and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Work within a fully integrated system using EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.
Qualifications:
MD or DO, board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa.
Current state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications.
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt).
