Gastroenterology opening in Cedar Rapids, IA - Full-time, permanent position Position Highlights: - **Established Practice**: Join a well-respected gastroenterology team of 3 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver and digestive tract diseases. - **Advanced Facilities**: Provide coverage exclusively at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital and the Surgery Center, which includes plans for a new large endoscopy suite. - **Comprehensive Care**: Engage in a full-time position that includes inpatient care, outpatient clinic responsibilities, and procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD (upper endoscopy), ERCP, and more. - **Shared Call**: Participate in a manageable call rotation of 1:4 on a quarterly basis. Responsibilities: - Care for patients with various gastrointestinal conditions, performing a combination of outpatient, inpatient, and procedural work. - Maintain high standards of patient care and contribute to a collaborative team environment. - Work within a fully integrated system using EPIC EMR to improve care coordination. Qualifications: - MD or DO, board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology. - Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa. - Current state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications. - Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt).
