The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Internal Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois, is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine.

Excellent opportunity for an Gastroenterologist to join a growing academic division at Southern Illinois University of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. Practice in a collegial environment with patient care delivery in ambulatory and inpatient practice sites. This position requires active involvement in teaching of medical students, medical residents, and Gastroenterology fellows. Job Responsibilities

Clinical service includes inpatient consultative service and outpatient Gastroenterology clinic. Comprehensive benefit package includes pension programs and professional liability coverage.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of accredited medical school program; Graduate of formal specialty training program in Gastroenterology; Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or eligibility for ABIM; Diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology or eligibility for Gastroenterology Board; Licensure in State of Illinois or eligible for such; This position has been designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation. This position is sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

Desired Qualifications: Experience working in an academic environment, both inpatient and outpatient settings.
