Locums – Colorado Springs, Colorado, GI Hospitalist Opening Clinical Role:

    • Coverage Dates Needed:
    • Dec 20 (7a) - 27 (7a)
    • Jan 31 (7a) - Feb 7 (7a)
    • Feb 14 (7a) - 21 (7a)
    • Mar 14 (7a) - 21 (7a)
    • Shifts are 24-hour call - Friday (7a) - Friday (7a) every other week
    • Looking for a locum Gastroenterology Hospitalists to help provide locum call coverage at the facilities concurrently
    • The site has a designated "backup" physician should another call come in at the other facility while working a call at the other facility
    • Setting: Inpatient Trauma Level II
    • Patient Census: 15-25. Some days will be under 10, some days over 30
    • FTE: 1.0
    • Required Procedures/Job Duties: ERCP & General GI butter cases
    • EMR: EPIC
    • There is anesthesia support, no need for conscious sedation
    • Hospitalist admits patients
    • Avg.# daily procedures on in patients: 5-8
    • 1-2 ERCPs per day (of the 5-8 procedures above)
    • Candidate must be able to perform ERCP - Required
    • Support Staff: None
    • Reason for Coverage: No GI Service
    • EMR Required Training:
      • Module (learn lessons) – Must be completed prior to virtual EMR training to attend the training.
      • EMR Virtual training – Only able to attend if Modules are completed before training. Virtual training must be completed prior to the providers’ first day
    • Board Certified - Required
    • Can accept BE, however, the BE candidates must have completed the Gastro fellowship within 0-5 years, and must still be BC in IM to be considered
    • Active CO License - Required
    • Active CO DEA - Required
    • Clean Malpractice/background - Highly Preferred
