Clinical Details

• Outpatient
• Patients per shift: 14-16
• Trauma level 3
• Peds level 3
• GI clinic coverage
• Will see more complicated liver and GI cases in addition to new referrals
• All standard clinic responsibilities would be expected including pathology review, referrals and answering questions PA might have - though direct supervision is not a requirement
• In-clinic procedures: Pill Cam (GI locum required to interpret studies), peg tube exchange, Hemoccult test, and Lidocaine injections

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active WA License or IMLC
• Fellowship
• ACLS, BLS
• Required Skills: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices), Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp)
• Preferred Skills: ERCP (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, With PEG), Esophageal dilatation/manometry, Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube

Support Staff

• 5 MAs, 1 APP, 7 Office Staff
• Currently staffed with one full-time provider, a PA-C, and occasional shifts by employed GI
