We are working with WellSpan Digestive Health – Chambersburg. They are seeking Gastro coverage ASAP. WellSpan Digestive Health – Chambersburg, offers expert care for gastrointestinal conditions. Job Overview:
Gastroenterologist coverage needed or both immediate short-term coverage and ongoing monthly coverage. The role includes two types of shifts:
1. Specific weeks in 2024 (immediate need)
2. Ongoing coverage one week per month through 2025
Responsibilities:
• Consults only (no admissions or discharges).
• Patient load: 10-12 inpatients per day.
• New consults: 5-7 per day.
• Procedures: 3-5 daily, with up to 2 outpatient procedures for special cases.
• Support Staff: APP available Monday-Friday (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM). No APP coverage on weekends, nights, or holidays.
• Call Coverage: Includes Chambersburg Hospital and telephone support for Waynesboro Hospital and Fulton County Medical Center. No physical travel required to other hospitals.

1. Immediate Short-Term Coverage (Specific Dates):
• Dates:
• October 11-18
• November 15-22
• December 13-20
• December 23-26 (negotiable)
• Schedule: Friday to Friday, with work starting at noon on the first Friday and ending at noon the following Friday.
• Payment Breakdown:
• 4 hours on the first Friday (12 PM - 4 PM).
• 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) Saturday to Thursday.
• 5 hours on the second Friday (7 AM - 12 PM).
• Call required Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Thursday nights.
2. Ongoing Monthly Coverage (September - 2025):
• One week per month, Monday through Friday.
• Flexible scheduling to align with current physicians' PTO.
• Payment Breakdown:
• 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) Monday to Thursday.
• 5 hours on Friday (7 AM - 12 PM).
• Call required Monday and Thursday nights.
Requirements:
• Board-certified in Gastroenterology.
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
• PA medical license.
