Job Summary: The Gastroenterology Hospitalist will provide specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders at Memorial Central hospital. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of GI conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Job Summary: The Gastroenterology Hospitalist will provide specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders at Memorial Central hospital. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of GI conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover one hospital, Memorial Central.
- Focus on inpatient and outpatient GI procedures.
- Work with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who will handle consults, follow-ups, and phone calls, allowing the hospitalist to concentrate on procedures and rounding.
- Round with the APPs and attest to their notes.
- Perform outpatient procedures on weekdays only (no weekends); typically, 6 outpatients per day.
- Manage 10-12 inpatients per day.
- Start at 7 AM and end around 5 PM most days.
- Take night call from home, with rare emergent procedures requiring hospital presence.

Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado.
Strong clinical and procedural skills in gastroenterology.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Working Hours
Option 1: 7 days on, 7 days off, full 24 hours each day.
Option 2: 7 daytimes on, 7 days off, no nights.
Option 3: 5 days on each week, including nights
Option 4: 5 daytimes on each week, no nights
