GI Physician needed for ongoing coverage!!
Details:
* Location: Southern IL; Airport options close by
* Need: GI physician needed for inpatient and outpatient coverage
* When: Immediate Need; Quick credentialing possible
* Model: Inpatient Coverage, Procedures, Outpatient Clinic (1 to 1 ½ days per week Clinic)
* Currently we have an NP covering Outpatient Clinic (Monday - Friday); Our NP can see most patients but there are some complex patients that request or require a physician
* Hospital has another GI physician providing services 1 day a week for procedures and twice a month seeing ½ day of clinic and providing oversight of the APP. Along with that, they have another GI physician that does EGDs and Colonoscopies twice a week.
* Typical Work Day: Physicians typical day is rounding in the morning if they have consults on the floor or in the ICU then procedures or clinic and rounding again in the afternoon/ evening after procedures / clinic as needed.
* Procedure Workload: Average 15 Procedures/Scopes a day
* Clinic Workload: They typically and see 22-24 patients in a full day of clinic (11-12 patients in a ½ day of clinic)
* Cases/Procedures they are looking for: ERCPs (need to quantify how often), GI Bleeds, EGDs, Colonoscopies, Capsule endoscopy reads, PEG tube placement (possibly)
* EMR: EPIC coming soon
* Support Specialties: Hospitalist program, Pulmonary Critical Care, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, Wound Care, etc.
* Ability to transfer higher acuity cases to affiliated partner tertiary care centers

* Requirements: Board Eligibility/Board Certification in Urology
* ILLINOIS License or IMLC (Interstate compact licensure)
* Opportunity for short or long blocks of shifts
* Extremely quick credentialing

2) How soon are you looking to start and how many shifts per month would you be looking for?
