We are seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist in South Carolina for a role that involves working outpatient and inpatient. The position requires performing GI procedures such as Upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and PEG insertion (preferred), as well as esophageal dilatation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision. The role includes no after-hours or weekend calls. Candidates should be board certified, have a South Carolina state license(can get this during compliance), BLS certification, and at least two years of post-training experience. Credentialing takes 90 days with a license and 120 days without.

Job Responsibilities

Morning (8 AM - 12 PM): Outpatient care in the office
Afternoon (12 PM - 5 PM): Hospital work including inpatient consults and procedures
Patients per Day: 14
Special Procedures: PEG (preferred)
No after-hours or weekend call at this site
No admissions

Qualifications

Board Certification: BC (Board Certified)
State License: SC (South Carolina)
DEA: Yes
CSR: No
Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Minimum Experience Required: Must be out of training and have been practicing medicine for at least 2 years

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
