Our client located in Seneca, South Carolina is looking for a locum to fill at 6 month contract.

M-F: 8am- 5pm - In the AM they will be in the office doing outpatient and the afternoon until 5 will go to the hospital and see inpatient consults and procedures, as necessary. No after hours nor weekend call at this site. 1 Physician in practice, 2 mid-levels. No lab or X-ray on-site. Office staff; 2 CMA's, 2 RN's, 2 Registration Staff, 1 Office Supervisor Outpatient/Inpatient Experience Required Upper GI Endoscopy - With Biopsy - With Foreign Body Removal - With fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) - With Banding of Varices - With PEG (preferred) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy - with biopsy - with excision of polyp

Department description: Combination of hospital rounding, clinic and consults. 7 exam rooms. No admissions.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Board Certification: BC
State license: SC
DEA: Yes
CSR: No
Certifications required: BLS
Minimum experience required: Must be out of training and have been practicing medicine for at least 2 years.
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days w/license; 120 days without

Skills

Skills required: GI Endoscopy (upper and lower) w/biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs laser), banding of varices, Esophageal dilation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy w/biopsy and excision of polyp.
The following procedures are not required: Internal Medicine, ERCP, EUS, Liver biopsy, Esophageal manometry interpretation or Insertion/mgmt. of Sengstaken or Blakemore tube.
