We are excited to partner with a diverse client in South Central Minnesota who is looking to expand the Endoscopy Department in their clinic!

Job details:

• Start: As soon as credentialing is complete

• Office hours: 8a to 5p Monday through Friday. No hospital Call

• The incoming Gastroenterologist will join an adult GI physician and a double boarded Pediatric/Adult GI physician and a Nurse Practitioner.

• Clinic Days for Physicians weekly: The GI’s work 32 patient contact hours per week with the option to work a 4-day work week or have two half days off in the week A typical day would be to do a half-day of about 10-12 scopes in the morning, averaging 30 minutes per procedure. Afternoons are a half-day of clinic in seeing approximately 6-8 patients. We offer our GIs to do a ½ day of scopes one weekend per month performing approximately 10 scopes. In return we provide an additional day off at a future date for a total of 12 additional days off. Physicians have flexibility to set up their clinic practice with their preference for the time allocated for initial consults and follow-up visits.

• The Endoscopy Center currently has two intake rooms, four procedure rooms, eight recovery beds and the department is staffed with nine RN’s and seven LPN’s, all with years of experience. The Medicare Certified Endoscopy Center is attached to the GI office space. Each physician will have two exam rooms. Onsite we have a CLIA Certified lab, and Diagnostic Imaging including general x-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI.

• Endoscopy Center expansion is planned. When completed there will be two (2) additional procedure rooms, intake rooms and post procedures rooms.

• The Practice consists of a broad spectrum of GI diagnoses, lots of GERD, IBD, Abdominal pain, abnormal liver tests, hepatitis, Dysphagia, Constipation, Diarrhea

• Procedures/test performed:

  • 24-hour PH Monitoring

  • Capsule Endoscopy

  • Hydrogen Breath Testing

  • Colonoscopy

  • EGD

  • Esophageal Dilation

  • Esophageal Manometry

  • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

  • ERCP and EUS not required (Referred out)

• Patient demographic: Adults

• Referral patterns of primary care physicians: We have a strong internal primary care team that refers many patients to Gastroenterology. We also get referrals from southern MN and northern Iowa.

• There is a waiting list of patients for you to build your book

• EMR: Altera Touchworks

Job Requirements:

• Board Certification

• Fellowship in Gastroenterology

• Willing to obtain MN license

• DEA

• New and recent Fellowship trained graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
