Gastroenterologist

Support Staff:

• 2 Full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APP)
• 1 MD

Coverage Type:

• In-House Rounding: 8 hours spent in-house rounding on inpatients each morning for 5 to 6 hours.
• ER Consults: Stay in-house until 5 PM for potential ER consults.
  

Schedule Details:

• Shift Pattern: 10 blocked days per month or 5 on / 5 off, must include a weekend.

Work Details:

• Facility Type: Hospital
• EMR/Charting Software: Epic
• Average Daily Census: 20-25 patients
• Beds: 161
• Patient Age Group: Adult
• Procedures: No advanced procedures. Consults, scopes, emergencies, and other bread-and-butter GI cases/procedures. Upper and lower endoscopies required.

Requirements:

• Board Certifications: Required
• State License(s): Required and will consider those that are IMLC eligible.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Controlled Substance Registration (CSR): Required
• DEA: Required
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with a skill set to diagnose and treat all endoscopist-related illnesses and symptoms.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days, but the department can expedite for a September 1 start.
• Willing to License: Only if IMLC eligible.
