Locum Tenens - Gastroenterologist - Albuquerque, NM
Assignment Dates: Starting September 16, 2024 - Ongoing
Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate)
Requirements:
ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Required: Yes
Board Certification Required: Yes, board eligible candidates must have their board exam scheduled within 12-18 months
Active State License Required: New Mexico or IMLC
Clean History Required

Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call
Both Inpatient and Outpatient settings
Hospital/surgery center privileges required
Temporary privileges available
Stroke Certified Facility
Facility accepts multiple providers
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with night call
Weekends will include 24-hour call coverage
Additional specific dates include: Sep 16-30, Oct 14-21, Nov 18-25 (2024); Jan 1-6, Jan 27-Feb 3, Feb 24-Mar 3, Mar 24-Apr 7, Apr 28-May 5 (2025)
Specific Skills Required:
Proficient in performing ERCP (required)
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred
Experience with upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeders, and injection of varices
Proficiency in colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
Esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation
Liver biopsy and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
Ability to handle a high volume of procedures, typically 18-20 per day
