Need for MI licensed provider to cover the following dates:

August 26-September 1

September 9-September 15

November 18-November 24

Monday – Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM: 24-hour call. This applies to the first assignment.

If the locum will be returning on a frequent/consistent basis, the following schedule will apply as the department will utilize the locum for scheduled outpatient procedures on the weekdays:

-Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM regular onsite hours, followed by 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM night call.

-Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM 24-hour call.

Call Details:

  • Typically, 6-10 calls per night ; 2-5 expected onsite call-ins.
  • Physicians are not required to remain on-site while providing night or weekend call support
  • When on call, physicians should only be on site for call-back hours while providing direct patient care.

  • o Physicians are required to provide supporting notes on their timesheet entries to verify call-back hours.
  • o Physicians must document on the timesheet the specific reason for the call-back and should have a description such that the note can be validated if an audit report was generated in an electronic health record.
  • o Telephone call and medical record reviews should not be considered on site call-back.
  • Average onsite call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day

Expected amount of time spent on-site:

  • If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding, and remaining hours on-call with call-back.
  • If assignment is regular hours + call: 8-10 hours in office/rounding per day, and remaining hours on-call with call-back.

Locum provider will not have a scribe for this and will be responsible for all charting and work completion without an assistant joining them throughout the day. Locum provider will be required to review all of their pathology and complete the line of work by communicating with the nurses the letters they want to send their patients with results and follow up recommendations.

Looking for complete block coverage. Consider providers with full availability of the dates needed and not partial.
