One of our clients is in South, ND. and needs assistance with Gastroenterology locum tenens coverage. Here are some of the details.
Location: South, ND.
Facility: 306-bed Hospital
Coverage Dates: Block Dates-Ongoing
Schedule: 24 hours on call
Practice Details: 24-hour call with hospital rounding in house for 8 hours--procedures and rounding. Rounding time is dependent on how many patients are on consultative service at the time, but flexible. There will not be another Gastroenterologist present while the locum is on assignment. Average number of scopes: 1-2 a day, New patient consults 1-2 a day, Average number of patients to round 5-6 a day.
Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, Biopsy, Polypectomy, Proctoscopy / Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Hemorrhoidal Banding, Upper GI Endoscopy, PEG, Esophageal Variceal Banding, Banding Lesions - Management of acute GI bleed, Dilation, HIGHLY PREFERRED: ERCP.
Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient, Hospital
EMR: EPIC
Must be ND Licensed or IMLC (LOQ MUST be in hand), BLS, DEA, Board-Certified.
