Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist - Johnstown, PA Assignment Dates: Ongoing Need July 15-19 outpatient 730a-4p July 22-26 outpatient clinic 730a-4p Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Coverage Dates: ***The site is looking for a provider to perform strictly outpatient procedures two weeks of the month*** Current scheduling dates available: July 15-19 outpatient 730a-4p July 22-26 outpatient clinic 730a-4p, *July 22-29 night call with coverage ending on 7/29 at 5 am* *Ongoing need Level 1 Trauma Center State-of-the-art GI Lab Office hours: 8AM 4:30PM Monday through Friday EPIC system for medical records Privilege Requirements: Therapeutic ERCP For recent graduates (within 36 months): Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited gastroenterology program that included at least 150 ERCP procedures (including 40 sphincterotomies and 10 stent placements). Letter from Program Director or supervising instructor attesting to competence in ERCP. Current competence with a minimum of 40 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 10 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months. For completion of training over 36 months ago: Successful completion of an accredited gastroenterology program with ERCP training, or subsequent ERCP training if not included in the program. Current competence with at least 60 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 15 sphincterotomies, and 15 stent placements in the past 24 months. Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Fine Needle Aspiration (Optional but Preferred): Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited gastroenterology program that included EUS training with a minimum of 100 procedures and 20 fine needle aspirations. Demonstrated current competence with at least 20 therapeutic EUS procedures in the past 12 months or completion of training within the past year. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with modern facilities and technology, providing essential gastroenterological procedures. Details: - Level 1 Trauma Center - State-of-the-art GI Lab - IP/OP - GI Lab hours: 8AM 4:30PM Monday through Friday - Call hours 5 pm - 5 am - EPIC Requirements: - All general GI procedures - Consults: 5-10 inpatient consults per day per day only while on-call for inpatient service - Current Active PA license - Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible within 5 years of Residency through the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty of Gastroenterology. - Must be Fellowship Trained in Gastroenterology Privilege Requirements: For ERCP: If within 36 months of training, completion of a gastroenterology program that included 150+ ERCPs, with attestation of competence. If training completed over 36 months ago, evidence of at least 60 therapeutic ERCPs, 15 sphincterotomies, and 15 stent placements in the past 24 months. For EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound): Preferred but not required. If trained, successful completion of a program with 100+ EUS procedures including 20 fine needle aspirations, and evidence of 20 therapeutic EUS procedures in the past 12 months or since completion of training within the last 12 months. Additional Information: Temporary privileges available. Hospital is stroke certified. The provider will not supervise advanced practice providers and is not required to be on call.
