Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Gastroenterologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.

The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and outpatient Gastrointestinal care. comprehensive medical care to patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. They will evaluate and diagnose patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow-up care. This role will also monitor the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with digestive and gastrointestinal diseases and disorders.
• Develop treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up care.

• Perform endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies.
• Administer medications and treatments to patients.
• Educate patients and family members about the diagnosis and treatment process.
• Keep accurate and detailed patient medical records.
• Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at New York City Health & Hospitals/Kings County Hospital.
• Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology and hepatology service.
• Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Medical Center

• Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one)
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Graduate from approved Medical School
