A community hospital in the Paducah, Kentucky area is looking for a BE/BC Gastroenterologist. This is the type of place where the CEO is very accessible, super friendly, and very accommodating to the physicians there. They have a "Can-do" attitude towards getting things done well - while also making life easy on the physicians to choose their own hours and make their work/life balance work for them. If you want to be able to practice medicine without having to worry about the stress of dealing with running your own private practice or having to deal with corporate red-tape, this is the place for you.
The vibe here is southern and friendly with a small town, familial feel - yet it is within a short drive to Paducah where the physician could live and raise their family. They could also live on the large Lake near the hospital for a great end of career move.
Opportunity:
* Own all the scopes; no GI doctor on site-currently but does have Locums support
* Heavy Scoping Opportunity - would also consider a General Surgeon who does scopes
* $600,000 Base Range plus RVUs and Sign On
* Tenured OR support staff and plenty of OR space and time available
* Flexibility to make your own hours
* 4 day work week
* Hospital does 600+ scopes a year currently but is losing the General Surgeon who currently does them to retirement soon
