The Opportunity

• EPIC as EMR
• 2 Full-Time physicians and 3 PRN physicians
• 3 FNP providers and 1 PA-C provider
• 3 Endoscopy suites

Routine GI procedures. EUS and ERCP are available but not necessary.

4 procedure rooms (1 Pulmonary and 3 GI), 15 pre/post rooms. We use block scheduling, which means the doctors schedule into their block. If they have add-ons we do our best to accommodate those add-ons as they come in but sometimes those have to go at the end of the block schedule. Cases run from 8-1630. We have staff here from 0630 to 1830 admitting and recovering patients.

Office Hours & Call Schedule:

Anticipated Work Schedule for Recruited Physician: 8-5 pm

A typical day currently is about 16 scopes. They carve out 2 hours at the end of each day (3:00-5:00) on one of our endoscopy schedules to do inpatient add-on procedures.

One Dr. does ERCP and EUS. The other does not.

They offer esophageal manometry and capsule endoscopy.

Their current group of APPs is sufficient for now. If we add a physician that would likely be the time to consider adding another APP.

Patient Population and Volume:

Surgeries per Week/Month/Year per Physician (if applicable): 45-110 Per Week

Types of Surgeries/Procedures: Colonoscopy, Colonoscopy with EMR, EGD, EUS, Fecal Transplant, Video Capsule Endoscopy, Manometry, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Bravo

Average Inpatient Census: 7-10 per day

PA rounds during the week and on-call provider on the weekend.

Gastroenterology Compensation Summary

Guaranteed Compensation of $556,000/year for the first year of the contract

• • After the guarantee period, full partner compensation based on wRVU productivity
  • Current average annual wRVUs are between 10,000 – 11,000 per physician
• Call Compensation is $830 per 24 hour shift and equates to approximately $101,000 annually
• Recruitment Incentive of $150,000 tied to a 5 year commitment
• Total Cash Compensation for year 1 exclusive of the Recruitment Incentive is $657,000
• Total Cash Compensation for year 1 inclusive of the Recruitment Incentive is $687,000
