Gastroenterologist Opening - Michigan City, IN Located 60 miles from Chicago H1B eligible Position Details

  • Full-time, permanent
  • Physician Schedule: 3 - 4 half days in clinic, 3 - 4 half days in surgery, 1 full day off
  • Physician Call 1:5 - Physician takes 1 full week call (Friday 8:00 a.m. - Friday 8:00 a.m.), no clinic during call week only hospital procedures and front-line call coverage
  • Call Friday to Thursday, Rotating Holidays
  • Average Patient Volumes: Half Day Clinic 12 15, Half Day Surgery 8 10
  • Practice shares 3 RNs, dedicated MA support for every physician, 2 surgery schedulers in-house
  • Outreach Required: Clinics in LaPorte, Chesterton, Valparaiso (all within 30 minutes commute)
  • Potential Virtual Visits
  • Shared collaboration between physician for APPs in group * Hospital based Nurse Practitioner sees new consults and rounding ahead of physicians * Clinic based Nurse Practitioner
  • Strong mentorship available from senior physician leadership
  • Strong referral base: On average 75 -100 per week for general GI
  • In-Network Oncology Services offering full spectrum, wrap around services
  • New construction and services being offered
  • Onsite Equipment: BRAVO, Pill Cam, Fibroscan,
