Job Description

Team of 5 are the only ones taking call in the two hospitals we cover in the community. We would like to grow our GI group over the next couple of years so that there are six or seven physicians taking call in the hospital. We would prefer a candidate with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) capabilities.
We would like to add 1 to 2 physicians in 2024.
We are interested in candidates who can perform ERCP and EUS (especially EUS!!), we don't have enough volume to add a physician who ONLY does ERCP and EUS. FYI, GI's don't have to do an advanced endoscopy fellowship to perform ERCP or EUS. In fact, we have turned away several Advanced Endoscopy candidates because all they wanted to do was ERCP/EUS.
Here are some strengths that make our group unique:
Multispecialty practice provides physician autonomy in a physician owned and led private practice with supportive administrative staff (billing, coding, marketing, patient scheduling, after hours answering service, HR, and IT).
We have a strong focus on providing excellent patient care
Over 100 physicians in our multi-specialty practice provide comprehensive care to our community
A new partner can have a busy GI practice from day one.
Multiple experienced nurse practitioners within our department extend our community impact by providing excellent clinical care
Bread and butter GI practice with the option for advanced endoscopic procedures. EUS trained candidates preferred. We have esophageal manometry, Fibroscan, video capsule endoscopy, ERCP, SpyGlass, Bravo pH testing, radiofrequency ablation, and EUS.
Our department provides mentoring from senior partners in a collegial environment
Full time practice manager and pre-certification coordinator on site
GI clinic is located above the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
Investment opportunity in the ASC
Shareholder track
There are opportunities for community outreach and to provide care to underserved populations
Our group partners with Kentucky Cancer Link (a state funded initiative to increase cancer screening) to provide colorectal cancer screening without creating financial hardship to qualifying patients
Each physician rotates on the inpatient GI service with mid-level (NP or PA) support. This consolidates the inpatient duties and improves the quality of life of all partners.
Competitive compensation with excellent benefits package including profit sharing and cash balance plan
Great balance of productivity and quality of life!
Community: Division 1 University, Private Academy, many great public and private K-12 schools, minor league baseball, strong Chamber of Commerce, home of many industries, affordable housing market, Cave, hiking trails, National Museum, Motorsports Park, and Beech Bend water park. Nearby: Mammoth Cave National Park, Barren River Lake, Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Nashville, and Louisville.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal of building a robust GI department of at least 6 -7 physicians.
