**Family Medicine/Hospitalist (Split Position) opening in Minnesota**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Located in ***Brainerd, MN*** - 120m from Minneapolis_x000D_ * Full time, permanent_x000D_ * Employed_x000D_ * Seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine, Internal Medicine physician, or Hospitalist to work a split, inpatient/outpatient position _x000D_ * Our ideal candidate would be a flexible team player, looking to maintain a mix of both outpatient and inpatient medicine._x000D_ * We offer a multi-specialty, collaborative team that is focused on working hard and playing hard. This is a great opportunity, providing work-life balance in one of Americas greatest playgrounds._x000D_ _x000D_ **On the Outpatient side:**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Roughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeks_x000D_ * Broad Primary Care Practice_x000D_ * Multispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary services_x000D_ * The clinic site has 5 Family Physicians_x000D_ * No OB, but prenatal care is an option_x000D_ * Telephone call 1:26_x000D_ * 16-22 patients per day_x000D_ * This position is to prepare for anticipated retirements_x000D_ _x000D_ **On the Inpatient side:**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Half-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month._x000D_ * Partner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers._x000D_ * Schedule 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; the rest of the shifts are days._x000D_ * Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support._x000D_ * Total number of physicians in specialty currently in the department at practice site: 7. _x000D_ * The practice is fully staffed with 8-9 hospitalists. _x000D_ * Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalists, who also share admissions. _x000D_ * Average daily census on unit: 50-60_x000D_ _x000D_ **LOCATION**_x000D_ _x000D_ -Brainerd, MN located at the center of Minnesota_x000D_ -125 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul_x000D_ -Brainerd Lakes Area population: 65,000; Regional service area: 115,000
